Proper grinding methods help to better grind the material and control the input costs to a reasonable extent. How to choose the high alumina grinding ball in the wet grinding and dry grinding of the ball mill?
Ball mill dry grinding requires very high quality alumina ball. The quality criteria for high alumina grinding balls at the same alumina content are generally wear and density. In terms of wear, wet grinding has a liquid medium to be added. The requirements for dry grinding are not very high. The ordinary wear is about one ten-thousandth of an inch, but dry grinding has high requirements for high alumina grinding balls.  According to my understanding that the wear is about 0.4-0.8%, these low-wear balls should be used. In terms of density, most of the balls now have a density of 3.60. This density is no problem for wet grinding. The dry grinding has less water cushioning and the impact on the ball is very large. So the probability of breaking the ball is very large. Therefore, the high-density high-alumina grinding ball such as 3.68 is very suitable for dry grinding. Although the density is only increased by 0.8, the impact resistance of the ball is greatly increased.
In addition, small-sized high alumina balls are available in both roll-forming and machine-molded. The impact-resistant balls have better impact resistance, but the price is slightly higher than that of the roll, which can be produced according to your own production.
